Boston's Got Game
Boston’s Got Game Yeah Boston’s got game. Whether they are hug international firms of micro-boutiques there is a enough architectural creativity in Boston to get an aspiring arch major’s socks wet. I spent the evening scoping out some Boston Architecture firms. Boy, did I find a ton of impressive goodies. I want to highlight some 3 firms, which can actually be found on the net...

It's Been One Week.
It’s been a while since I last posted, and I have told myself that I strive to post far more frequently over the duration of the summer.

The Olympics
ArchMedium is currently hosting a competition that calls for the design of an Olympics museum in Athens, Greece . I knew about the competition that ArchMedium is currently sponsoring for sometime now. I competed in the previous ArchMedium hosted competition with a team of fellow architecture majors. Together we placed as a finalists. My interests in ArchMedium’s current competition has a...

Global Context?
Globalization, Culture, Nations, Ethnicity, Contemporary International Issues, What? Many of these new terms and ideas might be incredibly vague and vast, abstract and wide-spanning; perhaps they can best be described as murky. However, they all present a relevance to not only contemporary politics and business, but also architecture. I continue to maintain that architecture is inherently...

Yoruba Wedding Chapel - Final Project
The intent of this project was to design a space that would insert a cultural pavilion seamlessly into the urban fabric while subtly improving the experience of the city. The building is designed with an orientation towards spots on the site with the best quality of local light. The building’s roof connects the urban street level to a nearby rooftop terrace, and the setting of the wedding...

One Down, Four To Go
So I just finished, officially my first year of architecture school. It was rough, but it was good. I think I have exited with a different state of mind. I would say perhaps broken wings. I think a peice of my soul went out with the semeseter. However in the end, I think it I have know a deeper feeling and understanding for architecture - I mean of course. The only thing that I battle is the same...

Weekly Update
Madness is afoot this weekend. I have been at school 24/7 working continuously. It has been, for the most part, incredibly productive. I’ve was able to do a lot of work on the Harbor Light Center project, however within the project, which we are supposed to be wrapping up, I sort of created a hectic situation for myself, as have nearly reworked the entire design. So I will now be presenting...

Weekly Update... A Rather Sad One
In the history of my web logging I have many of these kinds of posts - where I pore out all of my sorrows, and tell the tales of my life as a downtrodden architecture student. Here we go again; allow me to start my spiel. I will suppose that I am never good enough. Although as pessimistic as it sounds, that’s the kind of the internal feelings that I had for myself for most of my life and it...

Question: What is the Universal Importance of...
I’m not sure if you remember the segment on my old page where I used to ask architectural questions. Well of course, I’m bring that to this site as well. I think as a student it is fundamentally important to ask a lot of questions. I’d admit that a lot of things still confuse me about architecture. So to kick off the my questioning segment, I’ll start off by asking a...
